About Fresh Hope
Fresh Hope: Lather & Load was created by members of the Leadership Clayton Class of 2026 who recognized a growing need throughout Clayton County for accessible hygiene services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability.We believe dignity begins with the basics. Access to a clean shower and freshly washed clothing can improve confidence, support employment readiness, increase school attendance, and serve as a gateway to housing, healthcare, and other critical services. Fresh Hope exists to ensure that every person has the opportunity to feel clean, valued, and seen.

The Project
Fresh Hope: Lather & Load is a mobile hygiene initiative that combines showers, laundry services, hygiene kits, and connections to community resources. The program addresses a critical gap in services for residents who lack access to basic hygiene facilities.
How It Works
Mobile Showers
Mobile Showers - Safe, sanitary shower facilities delivered directly into communities.
Laundry Services - Access to clean clothing through mobile or partner laundry services.
Hygiene Kits - Essential personal care supplies distributed to participants.
Community Resources - Connections to housing, healthcare, employment, identification recovery, and support services.
Three-Phase Launch Strategy
Phase 1 - Partnerships, fundraising, and planning.
Phase 2 - Fresh Hope Day pilot events and proof-of-concept demonstrations.
Phase 3 - Launch and expansion of a permanent mobile hygiene unit throughout Clayton County and beyond.
